Similar to its sister locations in Greenpoint, Vanderbilt Market and Park Slope, Ovenly in Williamsburg serves a selection of baked goods and pastries – both savory and sweet - including salted chocolate chip cookies, savory-sweet currant-rosemary scones, and a sticky donut cake with butterscotch glaze.
Founders Erin Patinkin and Agatha Kulaga go beyond just selling the good stuff; not only does the duo employ people who have been denied economic opportunities, they are also conscious about reducing their impact on the environment. With community being an important part of the bakery, the new Ovenly location will give away the most popular items every Thursday (4.30pm–6.30pm) throughout the opening month.
With four bakeries and plans for an Ovenly test-kitchen studio this summer, Ovenly is taking over Brooklyn.
