Sam Won Garden

The first US outpost of South Korea’s oldest and largest Korean barbecue restaurant in Manhattan’s Koreatown.

The very first Sam Won Garden opened in 1976 as the biggest restaurant in Seoul. Some of the most famous Korean dishes, such as bibimbap, bulgogi and galbi, have been made famous there.

The New York outpost is split over three floors, with the first floor for walk-ins and smaller parties, the second for private tables and the third for large gatherings. The interior design is contemporary, with gray walls, exposed brick and natural wood accents.

The restaurant serves traditional Korean cuisine anchored by table-top barbecue. The menu is divided into five sections: starter, grill, sides, favorites, and rice & noodles.
