La Bellevilloise

This bar, restaurant, club and exhibition space is not only uniquely charming but has launched some of Paris's best bands.

Once upon a time, the location housed the capital's first workers' co-operative, now this incumbator of nightlife thrills is one of the city's hottest spots.

Options here reign high with a choice of everything from brunch in the Halle aux Oliviers, to drinks with views on the terrace bar to concerts in the downstairs club-cum-concert space. The venue even plays hosts to film and music festivals. We recommend U check the website to see what tickles your fancy and buy the tickets in advance as they tend to sell quickly.

If U are planning to dine we recommend U start with either the salmon gravlax with dill, horseradish foam and Thai sauce, or Perigord style salad with smoked duck breast, foie gras, fruit bread and condiments. Then progress to either the delicious roasted cod with mashed potatoes, broken pea coulis and seaweed sauce, or the seared duck breast topped with honey-ginger sauce and accompanied with fresh vegetables and sweet potato fondant.

It is no secret that La Bellevilloise is responsible for having jumped started the careers of a number of exciting Paris bands, so if U are into discovering young talent then this is your spot.

The clientele as to be expected is cool, chic and suprisingly in their thirties as opposed to the usual twenty something, but don't be fooled by it, here they party like they are in their teens.
