Carillon Miami Wellness Resort

This is the place for relaxation, pure seaside happiness and a cocktail or two.

As U step into the Carillon Miami Wellness Resort U suddenly feel a wave of relaxation wash over your tired, stressed out body. And that's even before U are welcomed into its multi-story spa or dip your toes into the warm sea. The 70,000-square-foot wellness space that includes the hotel, spa, fitness center, oceanfront dining and beauty salon recently completed a multi-million-dollar renovation of the iconic property.

The Carillon's spa boasts innovative treatments including a Japanese barefoot massage, prenatal massage, sound therapy massage and a Thai tension melt. But before U get to any of your chosen treatments, change into your robe and take advantage of the serene thermal experience options the spa offers. Our favorite is the herbal laconium, a ceramic room with heated thrones and a starlit ceiling. A perfect way to start your experience. Other options include the steam room, sauna, foot spa, experimental rain showers and Miami's only icy igloo with mint and eucalyptus scents to improve circulation and re-energize U.

Taking your wellness journey one step further is easy this summer. The Carillon offers a spa and beach club membership that gives U access to 700 ft. of white sandy beaches, four pools located throughout the property (think rooftop pool, family pool and oceanfront pools) and fitness center with more than 300 group class per week, including yoga in the sunrise studio that's literally in front of the ocean without any doors or windows blocking your views and ocean breeze and a two-story indoor rock wall. It also grants U access to wellness lectures, the medical center as well as spa, room and dining discounts.

Speaking of dining, The Strand Bar & Grill, the hotel's oceanfront restaurant, is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Serving fresh, local fare, the eatery has a menu bursting with seasonal, healthy and unique dishes. Even the cocktails seem healthy with choices like the Beet Up Mule with beet-infused acai vodka and Gin It To Win It with fresh green apple, basil and elderflower. For lunch the flash fried baby artichokes with garlic aioli are a must try and the stracciatella with figs and basil is our favorite dinner appetizer. Lunch entrees are light and simple with fresh salads and sandwiches including a lobster roll and catch of the day wrap. Dinner features delicious pastas alongside sea and land plates like fresh fish and lamb chops.
