The Bari

Korean food under a Japanese influence, The Bari is brought to U by executive chef and co-owner Mason Rhee – formerly of Miss Korea – with restaurateur Danny Hanh – of Asian hotspot Don Chung Hong.

Living up to its name – “bari” translates to “bowl” – chef Rhee offers small plates, rice and noodle dishes, as well as larger entrees, which are all served in ceramic bowls. A separate section on the menu lists seven bari, including bluefin tuna poke, udon noodles, uni bibimbap and a rice and farro “risotto.” Blending Korean with Japanese influences, other dishes include an avocado salad with snow crab, and gochujang ribs with miso. The Bari also includes a bar where U can enjoy aburi-style sushi (flame-seared fish) or an omakase experience.

The Bari aims to offer a casual and welcoming atmosphere, with amber lighting and a sleek and minimalistic setting, featuring curved white walls, white furnishings and marble tabletops.
