Located in Belleville near Place du Combat, from where the bar gets its name, this trendy cocktail joint is with its whitewashed walls and private green alcove serves some noteworthy cocktails. This should come as no surprise as all of Combat's bartenders have trained and worked at the renowned Experimental Cocktail Club.
All cocktails are well-balanced and tasty. Do try 'Rhydypandy' made with Ocho tequila, Drouin pommel, fresh fennel juice, maple syrup and lemon, or the 'Bérégovoy' a mixture of 30 & 40 calvados, Ferrand cognac, Madeira Verdelho, Dry Ferrand curaçao and Scrappy's orange bitters.
As the cocktails do seem to go down rather easily and are for the most part heavily laced in alcohol, we recommend you order some nibbles to keep the party going. Try such easy to share dishes as the charcuterie board, or the terrine with gherkins and Thierry Breton’s country bread.
