This highly anticipated restaurant is now open in Nolita, headed up by celebrity chef Eden Grinshpan.

Dez is a joint venture from Grinshpan (the host of Top Chef Canada) and Samantha Wasser, co-founcder of growing vegan chain By Chloe as well as Italian restaurant The Sosta . 

The menu offers contemporary Middle Eastern cuisine, sinpired by the chef's  family roots and travels. There are vegetable mezes with honey roasted carrots or cardamom beets; pitas filled with falafel cauliflower and a classic sabich salad. On the weekends, Dez serves an inventive brunch menu with options such as halva toast, honey rose pancake with pistachio and rose syrup, and yogurt with tahini granola.

The colorful interior also takes inspiration from Middle Eastern markets and Moroccan gardens, featuring vintage rugs and colorful tiled niches, balancing the warm wooden furnishings and white walls.
