CUTcakes & Tea at 45 Park Lane

CUTcakes & Tea at 45 Park Lane (pictured) is an American take on traditional English afternoon tea. A feast of American teatime favorites with a CUT twist, the menu includes savoury American bites such as Black Truffle Grilled Cheese, Tuna Tartar “Sandwich” and Wolfgang Puck’s Oscar-worthy Wagyu Beef Sliders and flavoured Cake Pops. Whilst traditional tea and champagne remain on the drinks menu, ‘CUTcakes & Tea’ also offers Iced Teas, American Craft Beers and special tea cocktails from the BAR 45 menu. Served Monday to Saturday at 2.30 and at 3.30pm, priced from £55 per person.

The Truffle Afternoon Tea at The Hari

The Hari Hotel’s Il Pampero restaurant has introduced a truffle tea (until September 16), priced at £65 per person (or £75 per person with unlimited prosecco), includes both sweet and savoury dishes infused with summer truffles. The menu features savoury delights such as truffle pears and porcini salad, beef carpaccio and truffle bruschetta, and arancini truffle; with sweeter treats include macaroons, coffee tartelette, hazelnut bignè or cream cheese cannoli. The Truffle Afternoon Tea is served Thursday to Sunday, 2pm-4pm. 

Sugar-Free Afternoon Tea at Home House

Private members’ club Home House has launched a limited-edition sugar-free afternoon tea. Ascend Home House’s iconic Adam’s Imperial staircase and take a seat in the elegant neo-classical Drawing Rooms. Start with a selection of gluten-free finger sandwiches, before indulging in scones with clotted cream, homemade raspberry sugar-free chia jam and sugar-free lemon curd. Finish on a perfectly sweet note with sugar-free chocolate and raspberry ganache cake, mandarin and rosemary mousse and passionfruit meringues. Afternoon tea is Served from 3-6pm and priced at £34 per person. Afternoon tea is available to members, private event bookers and overnight guests. Rooms start from £296 for non-members. 

Mary Poppins Afternoon Tea at Aqua Shard

Take a trip down memory lane with an exciting new afternoon tea inspired by the much loved work of P.L. Travers. Available until April 2019 at aqua shard on level 31 of The Shard, be taken on a playful journey down memory lane, with an exciting series of nostalgic and creative sweets and savouries that pay homage to Travers' books. Served on a custom-made tea stand with an umbrella on top and silver booted feet below – with crockery that comes to life with Mary Shepard’s original illustrations of Mary Poppins – the tea follows the format of a quintessentially British afternoon tea with unconventional twists. Tea is served in the triple-storey atrium, boasting panoramic views of London’s skyline. Served every day from 1.00-5.00pm, the afternoon tea is priced at £49 per person.

The MarTEAni Experience at Dukes London

THe afternoon tea at Dukes London features three beautifully crafted mini martinis, which were created with The East India Company Gin (and infused vermouths) and the Dukes team’s drinks experts. The Lemon Martini is paired with sandwiches, the Orange Marmalade goes with the scones, and a First Romance Tea Martini with an infused vermouth using The East India Company’s First Romance tea - a black tea with fruits and flower petals - paired with the sweet treats. Priced at £42.50 per person, the afternoon tea is available daily in the historic hotel’s Drawing Room from midday until 6pm.
