This Canal St-Martin institution has stood the test of time and remains one of the go to spots in the area.

Take a seat at Chez Prune terrace during the day and listen to the sound of  the barges chugging by, and creative types discussing their projects. Then watch it transform by night, into a lively, trendy (but not gimmicky) spot, where young and old mingle and giggle as they down cocktails and take in the scene. 

We must admit, although the sunday brunch here is a treat and should be tried out, but most people come here for a drink. So we recommend you do as the locals and order the cheese platter and the charcuterie board, and keep the wine and drinks coming. After all, when in rome...  

Just be warned, this is a very popular place and the later the hour in the day the harder to grab a table.
