The Wolves

A Parisian salon-styled cocktail bar has opened inside the historic Alexandria hotel in Downtown Los Angeles.

The Falls' Al Almeida, and designer Daniel Salin have partnered to create The Wolves, along with managing partner Isaac Mejia and former Puzzle Bar owner Kevin Lee as the creative bar director.

Following three years of painstaking renovation, The Wolves is housed in a 1911 annex to Downtown’s once exquisite Alexandria Hotel. Taking over the ground floor and a mezzanine levels of the property on the corner of 5th and Spring Streets, this grand bar and restaurant will take Ur breath away. Designed with period antiques from across America, the restaurant boasts the only balcony dining inside and outside on Spring Street.

The Wolves dinner menus arrive courtesy of Chef Matt Poley, of Heirloom LA. He has created a menu of sophisticated, yet approachable “bar bites” to be shared by the table.

The intimate upstairs bar, named Le Néant (meaning “nothingness”) will showcase an upscale cocktail experience inspired by the Japanese idea of omakase when it opens on December 1st. Here, no cocktail menus will be provided, only a list of curated ingredients from the local farmer’s markets, which are used to inspire cocktails.
