Spanish chef Ruben Rodriguez, who grew up in his mother’s restaurant in the Galicia region, takes traditional tapas and gives them a NYC twist. At Nai Tapas Bar, he reimagines these dishes with modern techniques and unexpected combinations. Yes, of course there's traditional tapas, like patatas bravas or hearty ham croquettes, but there are also more innovative creations: oxtail toast with smoked trout and black ink aioli; mustard-marinated chicken thighs with seaweed and champagne-pickled shallots.
Sommelier Daniel Proveda (2009 Best Sommelier of Madrid) brings a carefully selected wine list that is not just 100% Spanish but also compliments the menu to perfection. Plus there is Spanish beer and eight different lavors of Sangria.
