LA AX

Axe throwing comes to North Hollywood with the opening of the largest axe throwing venue in North America.

Competitive axe throwing has grown in popularity over the past few years, and with the grand opening of LA AX, the sport has officially arrived in Los Angeles. At 12,500 square feet and 30 lanes of axe-throwing space, LA AX promises to be the largest such venue in North America, able to accommodate as many as 325 people at one time.

Groups of one to five can take part in private, hour-long sessions. During a private one-hour our session, coaches will spend a few minutes with each thrower in the group, training them on art of hitting the Bullseye.

The LA AX team is positioning it as an alternative to hanging out at a restaurant or bar, but they do plan to serve alcohol. They’ve applied for a beer-and-wine license and hope to have the bar up and running by mid-November. If you think mixing alcohol and axes sounds like a disaster waiting to happen, the team is way ahead of you. Nobody’s going to have an axe in one hand and a beer in the other.
