The Sun&Soul Hotel

A creative, cool and avant-garde pop-up retreat.

The Sun&Soul pop-up hotel is open for several years ahead of a major redevelopment of the building by the Bach brothers, known locally for their 16 Art Bar Restaurant and 16 Boucherie restaurants. Originally opened in 1913 as a sanatorium, the buidling (situated above Sannen) has been used as a refugee home and as an educational hotel for the blind and visually impaired.

Art in all its aspects is within reach of the Sun&Soul pop-up residence. Oversized, impressive works of art decorate the walls in the public spaces and bedrooms with an artist residency and active cultural events programme initiated. The 50 (affordable) rooms come in various categories with breathtaking views, are functionally designed but supplemented with curated works of art and books. There's also on-site, self service cantina with breakfast served until noon and snacks available throughout the day. A gym and sauna are also available and occasional yoga lessons on offer.
