St Moritz's Best Après Ski Spots

Cornelius Haug, Head Concierge at the Kulm Hotel, shares with U his recommended après-ski spots.

CheCha Restaurant & Bar

CheCha Restaurant & Bar including the Blizzard Beach terrace is the latest restaurant from celebrated local restaurateur Reto Mathis. Located on Salastrains, in the former Chesa Chantarella, it is reached via the Chantarella cable car; expect gourmet food, warm heart-felt service and panoramic views, plus a club atmosphere. Not to be missed are the truffle specialities for which Reto is well-known.

Hossa Bar

Hossa Bar is always a popular place to après if you are skiing on Corvatsch, thanks to its large sunny terrace. However, it really comes into its own on Friday evenings when Switzerland’s longest (4.2km) flood-lit piste is open till 2am. Somehow the pizzas from the wood-fired ovens and the beers taste better at night!

The Kulm Country Club

The Kulm Country Club is in the historic Ice Pavillon, which was renovated by world-famous architect and St. Moritz resident Lord Norman Foster in 2017. The alpine-chic bar has an authentic, relaxed atmosphere and there is a generous sun terrace from which to admire the majestic mountains of the Engadine Valley. Make sure you order a gin and tonic, as The Bar has over 70 makes from which to choose. There’s a great DJ set every second Saturday!

Hemingway's Club

Hemingway’s Club may be small but it is one of the liveliest in St Moritz, opening at 11pm and not closing until the last person goes home – normally around six or seven in the morning! Located on Plazza dal Mulin in the heart of the town, this is one of the best places in St. Moritz in which to let your hair down. Here you can rub shoulders with an eclectic mix of people – including the odd celeb.

The Sunny Bar

The Sunny Bar is the place where thrill seekers meet after a morning of throwing themselves head-first down St. Moritz’s unique icy track known as the Cresta Run. Full of history, the walls are plastered with pictures of the antics of the Cresta riders, before, during and after races. In the evenings, the Sunny Bar serves Peruvian delicacies.

La Baracca

La Baracca is a proudly hedonistic and alternative club, located in a converted work site hut right next to the Signal ski station. Popular with locals as well as visitors to the resort, it has a very welcoming atmosphere that guests have been known to embrace by dancing on tables. Via San Gian 7500 St. Moritz
