This full service restaurant serves the usual smoked fish, blintzes, rye bread, and bagels for breakfast, lunch, and dinner - but expect something unusual in both flavors or format. They have scored former Per Se and Roberta’s baker Melissa Weller, which screams of bagel greatness, after her huge success with East River Bagels at Smorgasburg.
Named after partner Jeff Zalaznick’s great-grandmother, Sadelle’s is located in the former I Tre Merli space, with bare brick walls, an impressive marble counter, and vintage-style blue and white signage.
This has been a busy time for Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi, and Zalaznick of the Major Food Group – which already boasts Dirty French, Santina, ZZ’s Clam Bar, Parm and Carbone amongst its impressive line up – with Parm Brookfield newly open, and work underway at Parm Williamsburg.
