Shuko

Former Masa chefs Nick Kim and Jimmy Lau's indulgent and inspired tasting menu make Shuko stand out from the many other high-end Japanese offerings in the city.

Shuko is a den of Japanese luxury secreted away in a 20-seat space below Union Square offering high-calibre omakase. The daily tasting menus from the talented Nick Kim and Jimmy Lau (previously of Masa) go heavy on the toro and caviar, and are getting critics rightfully excited.

The cuisine is based on traditional Japanese flavours and techniques, with ingredients meticulously sourced from as close as Greenmarket up the street to fish from around the globe. The menu features a few forbidden Tokyo delicacies like fried fugu sperm and many off-menu inspired dishes. Leave yourself in the chefs' capable hands.
