Having closed after more than a decade of pleasing crowds in the West Village, locals will be pleased to learn of the fine wine institution’s reincarnation in Hell’s Kitchen. The 22-seat spot inside the Gotham West Market promises an dining experience that is just as intimate.
Not much has changed in terms of the menu at dell’anima, with chef Andrew Whitney’s delicious seasonal Italian dishes still going strong. The menu features his signature dishes like the hearty tagliatelle alla bolognese and pollo al diavolo, as well as a selection of new dishes such as herb-crusted lamb or mushroom with house-made ricotta panini.
Italian wines are just as much part of the experience at dell’anima as the food, with a list featuring wines from Tuscany to Lombardy, Sicily and beyond.
