Leyla

A Turkish restaurant on the Upper West Side from Berna Erbilgin Gundogdu and Huseyin Ozer, who also runs Bodrum.

At Leyla the pair have set out to bring a taste of Turkish rustic-haute cuisine to New York. The menu features mezze and salads as well as hearty and meaty dishes, all designed for sharing, making this a great place to eat at with friends.

If U like eggplant , Leyla is the place for U: try it sun dried and stuffed with pilaf and pine nuts, or wrapped around a salad of charred onions and bell pepper. Other options include flatbreads from the brick oven called pides which come with cheeses, more eggplant or minced meat and spices.

The wine list is focused on both Turkey European wines that are biodynamic.

Leyla's dining room features golden globes and blue velvet chairs, as well as a private room.
