Tucked into Cortlandt Alley in TriBeCa, this is owner Brendan Sodikoff famous modern diner, where the signature cheeseburger draws lines around the block. It's made with a couple of griddled patties that come laden with American cheese, pickles and a mustard sauce. True to the restaurant’s name, a French term that refers to having a fried egg on top, as is bacon. Other diner-style comfort foods include a fried bologna sandwich, duck heart hash, and chilaquiles, chopped chicken livers, matzo ball soup, honey-fried chicken and fries with Mornay sauce and egg.
The setting is more tavern than diner, and reservations are not accepted. Sodikoff, also brought his Chicago prime-rib restaurant to New York, with 4 Charles in the West Village.

Anything from chopped chicken liver and roasted bone marrow, to traditional sandwiches, egg-focused entrees, and griddled cheeseburgers.
The bar program showcases strong, classic cocktails including the Negroni, Vieux Bonal, and Hemingway Punch. A robust draught beer list offers a wide range of neighborhood, domestic, and international selections.
