Mahiki Kensington

The co-founders of Albert’s private member’s club; Jake Parkinson Smith, Fraser Carruthers and Carlo Carello, have joined forces to bring the world renowned Mahiki experience to the heart of the Royal Borough.

Putting their spin on Mahiki (in Mayfair, pictured), Carlo, Jake and Fraser have introduced Pufferfish to the Kensington location (used to house Bodo Schloss). Taking inspiration from its namesake, Pufferfish serves up (Tuesday to Sunday) a decent menu (available for lunch and dinner) of exotic (and well executed) delicacies and theatrical touches including sushi hand seared tableside with a blowtorch - overseen by Head Chef Sakorn (previously at Aqua Kyoto). A Raw Bar and classic Mahiki touches are set to ensure Pufferfish transports diners to a Pan-Asian paradise (where there are even dance floor glitter balls shaped like the marine creatures).

Following dinner you can continue your South Sea soirée in the night-time hotspot, open until 3am. The spirit of Mahiki will be encapsulated in the Kensington venue with a celebration of traditional Polynesian style evoked by hand carved statues and authentic materials. Mahiki’s iconic treasure chest topped with Champagne features such as a life-size, hand carved ice sculpture as well as the signature suite of tropical cocktails complimenting the idyllic island setting.
