New Members Clubs To Know About

Discover the latest private clubs to step onto the crowded scene in L.A.

The Arts Club Los Angeles

The landmark Hustler Hollywood store on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles is to be bulldozed to make way for an upscale new club lounge backed by Hollywood actress and lifestyle guru Gwyneth Paltrow.  Together, with London-based property developer, Gary Landesberg they are intending to build a West Coast outpost of Mayfair's Arts Club. The 132,000-square-foot nine-storey building (designed by architectural firm Gensler) will host a creative office space and a gallery on its first four floors, with the remaining upper floors devoted to the club. The fifth floor contains a dining terrace, screening room and a gym; the sixth floor would house 15 guest rooms for members; the seventh floor would host an eatery, another terrace, and a lounge for members. On the eighth floor, there will be a “Japanese/Latino” restaurant. The club also features a glamorous rooftop, with a pool and another terrace for events and even a private helipad. It will also offer an underground parking garage with room for 220 cars, which can be accessed from Hilldale Avenue.

Bike Shed Motorcycle Club

A laid-back cafe and restaurant-cum-motorcycle club celebrating modern-retro motorcycle culture rides into town. The club-like space - with its retro-modern vibe - includes an all-day restaurant (serving everything from superfood salads to a variety of burgers), lounge, barbershop, a boardroom and events and retail spaces across four large renovated railway arches in London's Shoreditch - pictured. Founded by Anthony “Dutch” Van Someren. With British actor Tom Hardy an investor, expect the LA outpost to have a familiar aesthetics dedicated to motorcycle culture and lifestyle. A little slice of biker heaven in the City of Angels. Start your engines please...

Soho Warehouse

The Soho House Group are opening a much highly-anticipated Downtown destination for their third house in the city - the others are in WeHo and Malibu. Soho Warehouse is located in a 100 year old building located in the Arts District. The 48-room hotel will be designed by LA firm Killefer Flammang Architects and will be a complete renovation and refurbishment of this iconic building recalling the property's industrial past. In addition, will house a “public market” with a restaurant and bar on the ground floor, and atop that, a spa and salon, a gym, a screening room, a club and bar and restaurant, an observation deck and the requisite sun lounger-lined rooftop pool - set to become the city's most popular celebrity hot spot - perhaps until The Arts Club opens on Sunset Strip.

AllBright West Hollywood

Building on the success of their London clubs and community, their first international club -  a members’ club for working women - is due to open in West Hollywood. Nestled in Melrose Place, the 9,000-square-foot West Hollywood clubhouse is dedicated to connecting and celebrating inspiring women across industries and generations. Three stories with stunning panoramic views over the Hollywood Hills, the club offers members extensive indoor and outdoor space for dining, meetings and events including a rooftop deck and beauty services. Designed by Brigette Romanek, the clubs have been inspired by former US Secretary of State Madeline AlBright’s famous remark, “There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t support other women” and counts actors Naomie Harris and Tara Fitzgerald as Founder Members alongside entrepreneur Martha Lane-Fox CBE.

Neuehouse at Bradbury Building

Private club and workspace Neuehouse is opening a new location in the landmark Bradbury Building (pictured) in Downtown’s Historic Core. Set to open in November, the club occupies the entire second floor of the whimsical structure, which was built in 1893 and has appeared in numerous films, including Blade Runner and 500 Days of Summer. This Neuehouse outpost will house a gallery, private offices, a cafe in the lobby, conference rooms, and a “mediation nap room.” The Neuehouse in the Bradbury joins an existing location at Columbia Square in Hollywood.
