Through an unassuming yellow door close to the Old Town seafront, Catari's flower-filled and light-strewn courtyard is brightly decorated with vintage Italian furniture and floral Mykonian pottery. Greek restaurateurs Nikos Nanou and Egidio Guerreri, who own the popula Bakalo restaurant, have recruited Italian chef Oscar Gibertoni to create a Neapolitan menu, which has been recognised by the Italian foreign ministry for its authenticity.
Naturally, much of the focus is on its Neapolitan pizza, which are hailed in reviews as the best on the island, and accompanying Italian wines. However, U should also try the fresh seafood dishes, and the restaurant's signature cocktails.
