Es Guix

Hidden mountain gem with a spring-fed swimming pool.

A real one-off, Es Guix is the kind of place you stumble upon with eyes wide open. Tucked away off the mountain road that connects Soller and Pollenca, it’s a traditional eatery – think red-and-white checked tablecloths and heavy wooden furniture – that’s almost hidden in a mystical oak forest. The rustic stone house was once an ancient hunting lodge, and the interiors are cosy and firelit. The outdoor terrace is a summer delight, with a gin-clear swimming pool that’s hewn from the rocks and fed by a crystalline mountain waterfall. A must-see.
