On Sunday 2nd May, Rafael Cagali, co-owner of the two starred restaurant Da Terra joins the Turnips team, for a one-off, veg-centric, 9-course dinner. Chef Rafael will put his experimental Michelin expertise to practice in three courses, alternating his dishes with Turnips chefs Tomas Lidakevicius (formerly City Social) and also Paul Lobban (Davies & Brook).
Tables and chairs are nestled amongst the seasonal fruit and veg stand from which Turnips trade in the market. Tickets are priced at £140 for 9-courses or £65 for 5-courses. There's also an additional drinks pairing at £70 of an additional 7 cocktails.
Palm heart with Scottish langoustine & chimichurri; Italian ridged cucumber with monkey puzzle seeds and shorthorn 12 week aged beef; Ile de Ré potatoes with Dorset wild garlic, & braised Lleyn lamb shoulder and raspberries with meadowsweet ice cream & milk reduction.
Kombucha: French Charentais melon with panache gooseberry, Green tea and a hot cocktail of Tulameen raspberry, jasmine rice & Amazake.
