Punchdrunk, the pioneering producer of large-scale theatre spectacles are behind this immersive extravaganza - and walk-through experience - based on the fall of Troy, set in a future parallel world. The Burnt City is being staged in cavernous buildings at the company’s new headquarters at Woolwich Works, a creative hub in the historic site of the Royal Arsenal in Woolwich, south-east London.
Some 600 theatregoers at a time will be given free rein to walk around the contrasting ancient worlds of Troy and Mycenae, each given a dystopian neon-lit, sci-fi spin - where you will encounter and interact with gods, monsters and perhaps discover a secret passageway or two over a three-hour evening.
