This Chaido-based fine dining restaurant garnered two-Michelin–stars and considered one of Lisbon's best gourmet dining experience. Established by Henrique Sá Pessoa, Alma (‘soul’ in Portuguese) is housed in an 18th-century warehouse once used for storing books for one of the world’s oldest bookshops. Fellow revered Portuguese chef Nuno Mendes comments, "beautiful location and creative food."
The classic yet contemporary dining room features an open kitchen, with views of Sá Pessoa and his team in action - preparing the flawlessly executed dishes. Menu options include ‘Costa a Costa’, five courses inspired by the local coast, and ‘Alma’, comprised of the chef’s Portuguese-Asian signature dishes: think salted cod with coriander broth and suckling pig confit with turnip-top puree. Alma remains a coveted reservation.
