Gekko, meaning moonlight, takes over the Katsuya space at SLS Lux Brickell Tower. Designed by The Rockwell Group with an aesthetic that features “luxurious-yet-contemporary” graphic wall coverings, jewel tones, light and natural wood accents. Expect the menu to be focused around prime cuts and different preparations of Wagyu beef with “hints” of Korean barbecue flavors - with plenty of elaborate table-side presentations, alongside other Japanese favorites including inventive sushi and a six-seat omakase bar. Highlights include “Lava and Ice” Kumamoto oysters, lobster dumplings, and olive-fed filet mignon from Japan, alongside over-the-top cocktails.
