Rocco

A beautifully decorated interior set the scene for a stylish and sophisticated Italian restaurant.

Located in a historic 19th-century building in the Santa Maria Maior district - which also houses The Ivens boutique hotel. Rocco is wonderfully designed with a bold and theatical aesthetic, by Lázaro Rosa-Violán - also responsible for the dazzlingly designed JNcQUOI Asia. The buzzy and stylish main dining room, al fresco garden terrace and oval marble-topped Gastrobar bar exudes a timeless old-school glamor vibe; with its crisp white table cloths, plush banquettes and flower-print seats and mood lighting.

In this extraordinary setting - which also includes a charming nautical-themed Crudo Bar - you can indulge in everything from fresh seafood to classic Italian cuisine as well as traditional Portuguse dishes, served at the central bar. The sumptuous 'restaurante' takes inspiration from traditional Italian osteria, with its wooden ceilings and walls, mushroom lanterns and pretty green glassware. Traditional Italian dishes are the focus and highlights include lobster with garlic butter, spider crab ravioli and ossobuco with saffron risotto. The wine list is equally impressive, stretching over 21 pages and emphasizing Italian, French, and Portuguese wines. Make sure to stop by the loos for a selfie…or two.
