Tasca Pete

Top-notch tapas dishes in a refreshingly informal, stripped back setting.

The intimate hipster space has a laid-back, industrial feel: exposed brick walls, simple wooden tables and young smiling staff dashing back and forth to the open kitchen. The idea behind Tasca Pete was to re-energize a traditional old Tasca (a typical Portuguese nighbourhood tavern), which had been open since the early 50s. They've stripped back the interiors keeping the original layout, retro chairs and plates but changed the food.

Create your own small plate feast with their Med-inspired, sharing dishes such as fried chicken drizzled with Jalapeño honey and topped with Kewpie mayo and pickled cucumber and grilled octopus with charred corn puree and chorizo. The drinks menu is focused on interesting, low intervention wines and ciders from small independent suppliers.
