Penelope's at Hotel Amano Covent Garden

Mixing up Spanish and Israeli flavours with a “Berlin-meets-London sensibility” in Covent Garden.

Penelope’s offers a rich fusion menu of Israeli-Spanish dishes overseen by Executive Chef Fezile Ozalgan, whose career has taken her from Jose Pizarro to Hovarda and Barboun in Shoreditch. Expect tapas-style sharing dishes such as Paella Israeli style with whole lobster, frekkeh and gin-tomato sauce, Israeli sofrito combining pulled chicken and laffa bread, and Iberico ham carpaccio with raw tahini and pomegranate syrup.

The dining room has an effortless Berlin-style cool with an eclectic look, atmospheric lighting, mirror ceilings and banquette seating. Fully dressed in velvet and leather with tasselled chandeliers there are raised platforms and private dining areas creating an added sense of drama. As at its Berlin location, the space hosts monthly parties (which often sell out in minutes), with a ‘hands-in-the-air, dancing-on-the-table freedom’ vibe.
