The venue, called Krug & Chips, will serve food based on Sellers' approach to "narrative gastronomy", which focuses on telling a story through the dishes he serves. Creations will include “fish in chips”, a potato ravioli with fish in tartar sauce; monkfish cheek curry with matchstick fries; and lobster claws wrapped in potato spaghetti with tartar sauce. You will be offered a glass of Krug Grande Cuvée alongside the Sellers' chip-inspired dishes.
The pop-up follows on from similar events in the past, such as Pierre Koffmann's one-week Kreperie and last year's Krug & Krustacean pop-up. Krug & Chips will open in the East Piazza, Covent Garden on 8 to 12 July in British chip shop-themed dining pods. A glass of Krug and one of the dishes costs £35 per person.
