Offering punters a new pastime to play between pints. Its name is Hammerschlagen – a traditional German game (originates from the first Oktoberfest in 1810), that involves hammering nails into a plank of wood. The winner is the person who requires fewest strokes to get the head flush with the wood. The winner then plays against the bartender. If U win, U receeive a discount on your bar tab.
The bar serves a selection of beers sourced from ‘Bermondsey, Berlin, Bruges and beyond’, plus a menu featuring frankfurters and vegetarian options. Open Tuesday through to Sunday, 7pm to 2am.
