The newest entrant to Dubai's live music scene promises to raise the bar.

Here's why you could go to Indie - it's new, it's trendy, and it's in swanky DIFC. But here's why you should go - it's bringing something new to Dubai's nightlife scene, with its varied, hand-picked selection of alternative music acts (see what they did there with the name?), from live bands and soloists to DJs, and relaxed environment.

According to Tony Habre, the CEO of AddMind and the man behind the brand, “INDIE offers straightforward good food and drinks, non-mainstream music, and a comfy, unfussy place you can just hang out in – something Dubai’s nightlife has missed.”

Located in the upstairs bit that used to be part of Gaucho, this laid-back lounge has a separate sake bar on-site, as well as a fresh fruit bar, with expert mixologists on hand to create adventurous concoctions that accompany the tapas-style food menu. Throw the eclectic decor into the mix, with disparate sections offering different moods, and you've got more than enough reason to visit.
