Frantzén, who has won two Michelin stars, is also ranked number 31 in the World’s 50 Best Restaurants. The new concept will be called "The Journey of a Nordic Chef" and will be an interactive experience divided into a “Prologue” and various “Chapters” - introducing, for the first time in the GCC, Nordic cuisine, which became world famous in 2010 when Noma of Chef René Redzepi was recognised as the best restaurant in the world.
The reputation of Björn Frantzén’s restaurant has spread well beyond Sweden’s borders since opening in 2009, winning widespread praise for its modern creative Scandinavian cooking (using inventive techniques and traditional preservation methods) and awarded two-Michelin stars in the process. Frantzén, whose background includes spells at Chez Nico in London and L’Arpege in Paris focuses on seasonal Scandinavian produce, much of it grown in the restaurant’s own gardens.
