The former chef de cuisine of the three-Michelin-starred Manresa in Los Gatos plans to open a restaurant in Downtown’s Arts District.
Jessica Largey, a former James Beard Award winner, planned to open her first solo restaurant Simone this Spring She has teamed up with Bruno Bagbeni (ex Fraiche and Bastide) and film and television director Joe Russo for the project, which will be housed in an old building on Hewitt Street, built in 1909.
No details have been unveiled about the menu but Largey told the LA Times that she will focus on using the great produce available in Los Angeles. She's also planning a six-seat chef's counter where she will create long-form tasting menus and interact directly with the diners.
