Le Bun which has already previously taken over the restaurant with their previous ‘Le Bun Vivant’ pop-up - and will once again be transformed; into a neon-filled South American-style arepa bun spot - for four nights only. Before heading to the Standon Calling festival, where Kelis and Le Bun are both perfoming.
Expect a luxuriant Le Bun diner, featuring exclusive new dishes alongside their signature American street food spin on French classics alongside South American arepa buns - corn pockets stuffed with savory fillings, originally made by the indigenous inhabitants of Venezuela and Colombia. It has not been confirmed whether milkshakes will be on the menu.
Re-imagining French cuisine, by doing away with pretension and formality, Le Bun give iconic French ingredients the American diner treatment, serving ingenious twists on familiar dishes as well as new versions of dishes inspired by recent road trips, including: Shrimp & Scallop Po Bun - shrimp and scallops basted with an shellfish bisque; Suckling Pig Bun - pulled pig shin, charcuterie jam and trotter hollandaise served in a brioche bun and Hot Chicken - fried chipotle chicken thigh doused in Nashville hot butter.
One bun at a time....
