Make sure U clear your calendar at 7pm on 5 July for this year's incarnation of the five-course Magnum Club Champagne Dinner at Bleeding Heart in Farringdon.
The evening begins with aperitifs on the terrace and descends into the historic Ely Place Crypt, for delights such as foie gras three ways and roast black-leg French chicken with summer truffles - each expertly paired with a Laurent-Perrier Champagne (including their much lauded Grand Siècle). The full menu is set to rival the three-day wedding feast King Henry VIII held there almost 500 years ago.
The dinner, guided by Laurent Perrier's Vicomte Bernard de la Giraudiere and David Hesketh, is priced at £97.50. Tickets.
Francophiles
Amuse bouche of Scottish lobster with Norfolk asparagus and summer herb vinaigrette; white chocolate Marquise dome with Kentish strawberries, strawberry sorbet and strawberry coulis.
