Master sushi chef Endo Kazutoshi is coming to London to prepare a one-off collaborative dinner at Kisetsu, the (newly opened) separate dining space within Jason Atherton’s Japanese izakaya restaurant Sosharu in Clerkenwell, on Tuesday September 6. Tickets are £125 per person and there are only 10 available.
Kazutoshi’s menu will include wagyu and lobster from the grill; scallop, monkfish liver, toro, mackerel and seabass sashimi; and nigiri with otoro aburi, Japanese tai, kinmedai, live langoustine, otoro zuke yaki, ika and unagi.
Endo Kazutoshi is said to be the chef Heston Blumenthal calls when he wants sushi, his craft honed by a career spanning 21 years. Born in Yokohama, Kazutoshi left Japan to experience other cultures, in turn undertaking an apprenticeship at the famed El Bulli, gaining a different perspective to traditional Japanese food which he has expanded upon throughout his career. He has also worked as the executive chef for Japanese restaurant group Zuma.
