The Friday before Halloween, Vox Vanguard will produce its fourth interactive music experience, Inferno. Based on the first part of Dante’s Divine Comedy, Vox Vanguard will transport you to a masquerade ball deep within the circles of Hell.
Your senses will be immersed in visual displays and classical sounds with live performances by singers, dancers, actors and a 70-piece symphony orchestra. Expect performances of Richard Strauss’ Death and Transfiguration and Saint-Saen’s Dance Macabre, a world-premiere chamber arrangement of Strauss’ Salome: Dance of the Seven Veils as well as baroque arias by Handel and Monteverdi from Orlando and Orfeo.
While socialising and drinking, find yourself “in a dark wood, the right road lost” and experience the fiery journey of Dante through the Inferno - set amid the visual abstractions created by world-renowned designer and engineer, Moritz Waldemeyer, and stunning 14th century architecture designs of the Merchant Taylors’ Hall.
For your date with the underworld you are encouraged to dress in evening attire or costume of a demonic Italian Renaissance style. After check-in VIP guests are escorted to the King James I gallery or general admissions tickets to the main entrance for canapés and tipples reception. Tickets range from £50 to £150.
