This November Zia Teresa, a family run Italian restaurant in Knightsbridge is celebrating its 60th birthday with a special anniversary menu, which will be running throughout the month and featuring 1956 prices (for a limited period) giving you the opportunity to enjoy a three-course meal for around £4.
Launched in 1956 by Lorenzo Fraquelli and Simone Lavarini, the restaurant serves up time-honoured Italian dishes, and has been passed down through three generations of Fraquelli’s. The menu is a collection of the restaurant’s longest standing dishes of the last 60 years. Starters include Ribollito (Tuscan soup, £1.09) and Arancini di Roso (fried rice balls, £1) and main course include Milanese Scaloppa (Breaded Veal Escalope) – £4.14, Fegato di Vitello Burro e Salvia (Calf’s liver with butter & sage) – £3.48 and Saltimbocca alla Romana (rolled veal with parma ham and sage) priced at £3.92.
