Throughout the winter months, German Gymnasium has transformed its terrace into a German winter market, in partnership with German airline, Lufthansa.

Taking flight on 29th November and running until the end of February 2017, the outdoor space brings an enchanted festive atmosphere to London’s Kings Cross. Creating the look and feel of the winter markets that pop-up across Germany at this time of year, the terrace is lined with traditional pine chalets adorned with fern wreaths and strings of twinkling fairy lights.

Signature Dishes

Adding to the experience, Executive Chef Bjoern Wassmuth’s menu focuses on German winter market classics such as roasted fresh chestnuts and a selection of Germany’s favourite sausages, including Currywurst and Bratwurst turned into hot dogs or opt for more luxurious options such as oyster and caviar dishes.

Signature Drinks

First Class - a mix of rum and homemade falernum, a spirit with notes of clove, allspice and vanilla, with homemade ginger soda and lime; Miles & More comprises Belsazar white, shaken with fresh blackberries and hibiscus syrup and Wassmuth’s Mulled Convair 340 cocktail which blends hot red wine and dark rum with grenadine, oranges, lemons and an assortment of spices.
