Pantry by Skyline is the new, elevated avatar of the city's original picnic brunch at the Intercontinental Dubai Festival City.

There's no need to mourn the loss of the well-loved picnic brunch at Al Badia Golf Club, as the new version offers all the same charm (down to the same wicker baskets!), combined with a high-rise setting at Skyline, located on Level 5 of the neighbouring Crowne Plaza Dubai Festival City. 

The grassy outdoor terrace is decked out with picnic mats, umbrellas, cushions and benches every Friday, and the Picnic Pantry stocked up with an array of starter options including smoked salmon bagels; gourmet salad jars such as beetroot, broccoli & feta cheese salad and prawn & avocado cocktail; spreads like truffle-infused avocado cream; artisan cheeses; and pickles, that you can fill your basket with. Then, you can tuck in to freshly barbecued treats such as grilled king prawns, juicy lamb chops, smoked beef brisket, and spicy veal and pork ribs from the live BBQ stations, but it would be criminal to not leave space for the desserts from the Sweet Shop - ranging from candy floss to a rainbow of ice cream flavours.

The family-friendly brunch caters for children more than adequately with a separate kids area offering crafts and face painting, and there's live music too. Prices start at AED 245 (soft drinks), AED 345 (house beverages) and AED 445 (for French bubbly), free for kids under 5.
