Exclusive: Dinings SW3

Contemporary Japanese restaurant, Dinings, to open in Knightsbridge this May...

The contemporary Japanese restaurant takes over the former Toto’s restaurant site, a hidden gem located in a mews off Walton Street in Knightsbridge, with its own private and discreet courtyard.

The light-filled restaurant (includes two dining bars and a 10-cover sushi counter) was originally built as an artist’s studio, benefitting from large windows throughout and featuring a dramatic heritage-listed fireplace - the new look has been overseen by David d’Almada’s Sagrada Studio.

Celebrating the finest Japanese cooking traditions with European seafood bar culture, Dinings specialises in an evolved Izakaya-style of cooking, incorporating authentic Japanese and European cuisines, to create delicious small plates in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere.

The restaurant has developed its own style of sushi and sashimi that changes with the seasons, using the freshest seafood from Cornish day boats and the addition of a Josper Grill adds robata-style dishes. As for the drinks list, the entire sake list changes with the seasons and features Dining's own-label Sake and their tea library offering, features a special list of teas that can be paired with the dining menu.
