'Napercise'

David Lloyd Clubs is to offer group napping classes designed to help U reinvigorate your minds, improve moods and burn calories...

David Lloyd Clubs are hosting a new fitness class called 'Napercise', following research it conducted that revealed 86% of parents suffer from fatigue, with 26% regularly getting less than five hours sleep a night.

The wellbeing class consists of a 45-minute sleeping session – the usual spin-bikes swapped with single beds – with calming atmospheric sounds and a cool studio temperature which promotes calorie burning during sleep.

The development of 'napercise' classes is based on the important health benefits of napping during the day which includes boosting alertness, alleviating feelings of anxiety or stress, and improving mood. Napercise is being trialled for the first time this weekend (29-30 April) and features 45-minute sessions that aim to reinvigorate guests' minds and moods, as well as helping with calorie burning.
