The Sir Joan

Sir Joan is situated in the centre of Ibiza City, in walking distance from the nautical sportings club's Ibiza La Nueva and Marina Botafoch. Stunningly designed by Baranowitz + Kronenberg, the award-winning interior designers, Sir Joan pays homage to the maritime environment surrounding the hotel and the island’s bohemian past. Self penned as a "retreat for the party animal or quiet introvert alike" the building houses 38 rooms and suites (each with balconies) featuring stripped wooden yacht flooring and polished stainless steel wall panels. Choose from the iconic Amsterdam restaurant, Izkaya, and experience the islands new hotspot, serving up extravagant Japanese cuisine meets Peruvian flavours, or visit The Butcher, a late-night burger bar. There’s also a cabana-lined rooftop pool and garden.

La Granja

Seek out this rural member’s retreat in the heart of the campo, where style and sustainability go hand-in-hand. Like a spread from an interiors magazine, deeply stylish, little La Granja unfurls from the surrounding forest to bask in the warm sunshine. This ‘members retreat’ - a first for Ibiza - means that the only visitors are hotel guests or a hand-picked selection of island scenesters, a refined bunch who appreciate La Granja’s grey-on-grey palette and careful edit of industrial-luxe bedrooms. A no-kids policy means that an air of calm pervades the reformed farmhouse and nearby casita, where guests are invited to take part in yoga and meditation ‘rituals’. Alternatively, a stroll through the rustic grounds reveals the organic farm from where much of the hotel’s produce comes. Live music and an under-the-radar bar scene complete the look. 

Los Enamorados

The boutique Hotel Los Enamorados Ibiza is a dream project of Pierre Traversier and Rozemarijn de Witte. They have transformed a worn-out hostel into a hip crashpad. The beachfront located hotel is scenically situated in Portinatx (14.9 miles from Ibiza Town). Just opened last year, the laidback-luxe boho boutique (complete with bazaar offering) provides attractive off-the-beaten-track (and rather romantic) accommodation (all with sea views), a bar & restaurant (that serves fresh fish caught by local fishermen) that won’t disappoint and a distinct bohemian vibe. For that bit of extra pampering, get a massage in their boathouse, only one step away from the sea.

Nobu Ibiza
