Dawn Hindle's Favourite Ibiza Restaurants

Dawn Hindle, co founder and creative director of Ibiza Rocks Group, gives U a guide to her favourite Ibiza restaurants...

1. 'The Fish Shack' - Cap Martinet

A hidden gem of a place, the freshest most simplest of dishes, fish caught daily served with potatoes and salad, local deserts and cafe caletta (very alcoholic!).
It's location on the cliffs overlooking the sea with the spectacular Ibiza old town in the distance, you perch above the water on a variety of mis-matched plastic furniture - but savouring every moment. No reservations are taken here and it is always filled with locals.

2. Las Brisas de Ibiza, Boutique Hotel and restaurant, Es Porroig

Set amongst Ibiza's prime real estate in a high-end hotel in Porroig, the hotel is secluded and exclusive, with priceless views of the yachts and beach boat houses below. Here you can taste homemade Italian and Spanish food including homemade pastas, the best cheese risotto I've ever tasted, ceviche and black angus meat. I recommend a long romantic lunch date or a family afternoon and then relaxing in the sun round the pool on a giant Balinese sun bed with a bottle of local wine, taking in the breathtaking view.

3. La Paloma, San Lorenzo

It's probably one of the most loved restaurants in Ibiza. Laid back dining under the orange groves, organic, fresh and 100% homemade - a salad has never tasted so good. It offers mediterranean dishes, organic wines and juices, stylish locals and lots of celebs. I recommend a day and night visit, but definitely book well in advance! Cute style, amazing food and a relaxed vibe.

4. Bambuddha Grove, San Juan

Sasha Moon has taken over the reign of island character, John Moon - a Thai temple open for night time catering in the centre of the island. With pan Asian cuisine and amazing sushi, incredible cocktails with a party after midnight, it mixes with the best of many high-end restaurants and delivers a completely different dining experience in a magical setting - destination dining at its best.

5. El Portalon, Dalt Vila, Old Town

I can honestly say, this is Ibiza's Finest fine dining experience. A brand new restaurant who's owner, Anne, supplies the restaurant with only locally and organically sourced produce, much from her own farm. A beautiful old villa, sat in a UNESCO world heritage site. Go for dinner, sit in a candle lit courtyard with a mezcal cocktail and enjoy the best food Ibiza has to offer. Exquisite flavours, daily changed menu, fine dining and beautiful surroundings with great service are one of a kind in Ibiza food world.
