Replacing the modern American diner concept Firebird Diner, Mina Brasserie has an elegant yet informal vibe, while serving up modern American food as envisioned by the James Beard award-winning chef. The San Fransisco-inspired menu, highlighting seasonal ingredients, features dishes such as Za’taar Salmon and Caviar with Shallot Potato Cake, Pickled Onion, Cucumber Yogurt; Michael Mina’s Tuna Tartare with Pine Nuts, Garlic, Mint, Sesame-habanero Oil; and Wood-fired Lamb Chops. The food will be complemented by a strong drinks list made up classic cocktails and library collection wines.
The space, designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio (MBDS) gives the traditional European brasserie design a contemporary update, with brass, marble, and dark timber, accented by glass chandeliers and atmospheric lighting. The outdoor terrace - which was a big attraction of Firebird too - is designed for maximum impact with verdant plants and trees creating a leafy atmosphere, and rattan furniture and blue fabric enhancing the outdoorsy feel.
The venue also showcases local artworks, making it the perfect addition to DIFC's dining-scape.
