Go Wok Yourself At Miss Tess

Create your own personalised wok noodles at this quirky Asian street food restaurant at Taj Dubai.

Miss Tess takes over the Tesoro restaurant space after dark - it continues to operate as Tesoro by day - with the transformative makeover enabled by Asian kitsch decor elements such as paper lanterns, wall art, and Manga imagery (the tuk tuk centrepiece in the middle of the restaurant stays put however)! Figurehead hostess Miss Tess is usually on hand to bring the concept to life.

The Pan-Asian menu, which draws inspiration from street food markets, includes crowd-pleasers such as sushi, dim sum, satays, and noodles. It's the latter which is celebrated at their Monday night offering, Go Wok Yourself - you get to build your own noodle bowl, choosing a base, toppings, sauce et all, - with choices ranging from Japanese soba noodles, to Thai rice noodles, and seafood, chicken, and beef for protein options. You can pair it with some oversized sushi platters, and cocktails in Asian-inspired flavours.

But it is the lively energetic entertainment from the waiters doubling up as (very talented) dancers that will really transport you straight to an Asian street market! And for those daring enough, they've also laid down the UAE's hottest noodles challenge - a super spicy bowl, that is served with appropriate fanfare, which if you can finish in under 20 minutes, gives you year-long benefits at the restaurant, as well as, of course, bragging rights.

They also offer a Wednesday night 'Asian invasion' brunch where you get unlimited food and drinks from pop-up bar stalls for AED 248 (bottomless food and drinks).
