Beautiful Allotment takes up residency in the Victorian gardens of the Geffrye Museum. The magnificent grounds have beeen transformed into a serene oasis, where bookable day beds, handcrafted potting sheds, makeshift cocktail bars and raised BBQ areas mix in with trailing plants, vegetable patches, repurposed items and homemade, handpicked pieces of furniture to create a living, organic and beautiful outdoor destination.

Cocktails curated by the Bourne & Hollingsworth team use ingredients grown on the grounds. Roaming ‘garden-tenders’ with wheel barrow bars bring drinks to you as you lounge on sofas in amongst the home-grown plants. For those looking for a bite to eat, the food is almost entirely BBQ led and locally sourced, with ever changing platters of vegan, vegetarian, fish and meat options. There's also a series of special bookable events happening throughout the summer, including movie night screenings, workshops and live music. Open Wednesday to Sunday.

Beautiful Allotment has bookable garden areas designed for larger gatherings with friends or work colleagues. Long flower tables are available for parties of 30 to 100 and guests are able to privately book a rustic potting shed, greenhouse dome or airy polytunnels dotted throughout the garden.

Highlights

A custom travelling tractor pulling a vintage trailer with seating for up to 30 is available to ferry groups to and from the allotment. Once on-board, a resident bar-tender whips up botanical cocktails for the duration of the journey.
