Endo at The Berkeley

Ahead of opening his own restaurant, world-renowned sushi master Endo Kazutoshi is popping up at The Berkeley Hotel.

Endo Kazutoshi is said to be the chef Heston Blumenthal calls when he wants sushi, his craft honed by a career spanning 21 years. Born in Yokohama, Kazutoshi left Japan to experience other cultures, in turn undertaking an apprenticeship at the famed El Bulli, gaining a different perspective to traditional Japanese food which he has expanded upon throughout his career. He has also worked as the executive chef for Japanese restaurant group Zuma. This pop-up comes ahead of Kazutoshi’s eagerly awaited new restaurant — Endo at Rotunda — at the top of the former BBC Television Centre in White City

The pop-up takes place in newly designed “hidden” space that includes a sushi bar and seats only eight guests. The 15-course menu (dishes include: Scottish scallop oshinogi, lemon sole usuzukuri and wagyu beef agemono) is available on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings - with two sittings each night at 6pm and 8.30pm. A sake or wine pairing menu is also available. The 15-course menu is priced at £150 per guest.
